Playgrounds

YourTurf's Playground Artificial Grass System has been designed in accordance with federal and state regulations.  This is a multi-level system, the combination of which provides critical fall ratings that meet safety standards.  First, a layer of crushed aggregate rock is compacted under the area approximately four inches below the playing surface.  Next, a recycled rubberized padding of approximately one inch in width is placed on top of the rock.  This playground padding is firm and drains exceptionally well.  YourTurf's artificial grass for playgrounds is then laid on top of the playground padding and is staked into the ground.  The base of the grass is approximately one inch below the hardscape perimeter while the top of the synthetic blades are approximately three quarters of one inch above the hardscape perimeter which conveys a real grass look.  At this point, the rock and the playground padding below the artificial grass are completely covered and not visible.  The last step is to infill in between the blades with dust-free silica sand and cryogenically frozen recycled rubber.  The result is YourTurf's high standard in terms of look, feel and reliability supported by an enhanced sub-base that together provide children with a soft, comfortable playing area that exceeds the public safety regulations.
