Heat

Natural grass (that is not brown) has water running through it which helps to cool it so it is always cooler than artificial grass.  However, unlike the other surfaces normally found in one's yard such as pavement, rock or brick, YourTurf artificial grass does not absorb nor radiate heat.  The result is a grass that looks beautiful year round and, although may get somewhat hotter than sod, is not nearly as hot as other surfaces and will pose no danger to you, your children or your pets should you or any of them walk on the grass, even in the most extreme of temperatures.  YourTurf has been tested numerous times and both in testing and in practical, real-use purposes YourTurf has never caused a burn of any kind to anyone as a result of heat from the sun. 

If it is an extremely hot day and there will be activity on the lawn, we suggest hosing the lawn and the moisture retained will keep the yard cool for hours.  Once again, however, this is not a requirement nor is there a risk to one's feet should they walk on our grass without watering the lawn.
